Afghanistan remembers its envoy, senior diplomats from Pakistan after abduction of its envoy’s daughter


New Delhi: In response to the kidnapping of Silsela Alikhil, Afghanistan has recalled its envoy Najibullah Alikhil and all senior diplomats from Pakistan. Silsela Alikhil is the daughter of the Afghan ambassador to Pakistan and was kidnapped on Friday for few hours close to Islamabad’s Rana market.

Afghanistan Vice President Amrullah Saleh in a strongly-worded tweet mentioned President Ghani has instructed the Afghan overseas ministry to recall its envoy together with all senior diplomats. He mentioned, “The kidnapping of Afgh ambassador’s daughter and her subsequent torture has wounded the psyche of our nation. Our nationwide psyche has been tortured.”
