Harmanpreet Kaur-led India on Monday have been fined 20 per cent of their match payment for sustaining a gradual over-rate in opposition to England within the second girls’s T20I in Hove. Phil Whitticase of the ICC Worldwide Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanction after Kaur’s aspect was dominated to be one over in need of the goal after time allowances have been considered. In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Gamers and Participant Help Personnel, which pertains to minimal over-rate offences, gamers are fined 20 per cent of their match charges for each over their aspect fails to bowl within the allotted time.
“Kaur pleaded responsible to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction, so there was no want for a proper listening to,” said an official ICC launch.
On-field umpires Ian Blackwell and Paul Baldwin, third umpire Sue Redfern, and fourth umpire Tim Robinson levelled the cost.
Deepti Sharma, the Participant of the Match within the second T20I in opposition to England on Sunday, sparked a collapse which helped India stage a comeback within the collection.
