The All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Thursday condoled the demise of former Indian nationwide workforce midfielder M Prasannan, who died earlier in Mumbai. Prasannan made his debut towards the erstwhile Republic of (South) Vietnam on August 9, 1973, within the Merdeka Cup, in Kuala Lumpur. He went on to play two internationals for India, and scored in each of them. AIFF President Praful Patel stated, “It’s devastating to listen to that Mr. Prasannan is not any extra. His contribution to Indian Football can by no means be forgotten. I share the grief.”
AIFF Normal Secretary Kushal Das stated, “Prasannan was a really proficient midfielder who performed with reputation on the worldwide and home degree. My condolences to his household. We pray for his soul to relaxation in peace.”
